Know your Coffee ☕️
Espresso? Cappuccino? Latte? Heard about these, but not sure what they exactly are?
Ever went to a Cafe and just nodded along with whatever your friends ordered? Or, ever had that moment of hesitation before you chose one random flavour from the Coffee vending machine?
Been there, done that.
Trying each individual type of coffee and then choosing the favourite one is not an option for most of us. So, here we bring to you the most popular types of coffee and how they taste. By the end of this you'll be well versed with the knowledge of different types of coffee.
Cappuccino
This is an espresso based beverage which is prepared with equal parts of espresso, steamed milk and foam. Also, the frothy top layer is thicker.
Also, is served with a sprinkling of cinnamon.
Irish Coffee
It's primarily a cocktail . The 4 main ingredients to Irish coffee are Whipped cream, whisky, black coffee and sugar.
Different variations of coffee cocktails pre-date the now-classic Irish coffee by at least 100 years.
Espresso
Espressos are thicker, more concentrated liquid with a bolded flavour. A shot of espresso is stronger than the same amount of coffee. It is the base for other coffee beverages like lattes and cappuccinos.
There's not a difference between the beans that are used for coffee from that used for making espresso. The major difference lies in the way they are processed. Beans used for making espresso are more finely ground and have a higher ground-to-water ratio than what is used for coffee.
Frappe
It is a Greek iced coffee drink made from instant coffee, water, sugar, and milk. Although frappés are commonly associated with Greece, in recent years their popularity has grown in other nations.

Latte is one of the most customisable option of coffee present out there. It primarily contains one third of espresso and two third of steamed milk. It is also topped by a layer of foam.
Cafes nowadays offer ten's of customisations on top like, vanilla, pumpkin spice and non dairy versions by using oat milk.
Mocha
It is a chocolate-flavoured warm beverage that is a variant of a caffè latte commonly served in a glass rather than a mug.
Like latte, the name is commonly shortened to just mocha instead of # Caffè mocha
Like a caffè latte, caffè mocha is based on espresso and hot milk but with added chocolate flavouring and sweetener, typically in the form of cocoa powder and sugar. Many varieties use chocolate syrup instead, and some may contain dark or milk chocolate.
